Ashoka is a global nonprofit that helps people with new ideas to solve big problems in society, the environment, and the economy. It was founded in 1980 and works in over 90 countries!!!
Ashoka supports social entrepreneurs — people who create solutions that help both today and future generations. Their work focuses on sustainability, justice, and leaving a positive legacy for the future.
They provide funding, mentorship, and a global network to help these changemakers make a lasting difference in areas like education, health, and the environment.
~ Banu
Ashoka is an organization that helps people who come up with new ideas to solve big problems in the world. It was started in 1980 by Bill Drayton. The organization focuses on supporting social entrepreneurs—people who create solutions to issues like poverty, education, healthcare, and the environment.
Ashoka works by finding these talented change-makers, called Ashoka Fellows, and providing them with resources, advice, and a network of other people who are also trying to make the world a better place. The goal is to help these people grow their ideas and make a bigger impact on society.
In simple terms, Ashoka’s mission is to find and support people with creative ideas that can improve lives, and then help them make those ideas successful on a larger scale. The organization has created a global community of innovators who are focused on social good, not just making money.

Hello, we had the idea to make a creative canvas poster for the e-book. We could also write a poem or a quiz (for example a Kahoot quiz) alongside it. We made some rough sketches as ideas (it’s down below). Do you guys have any other ideas other than posters? If yes, we’d love to hear them. We’re open for anything. Let’s collect all our different ideas in this taskcard!
Kind regards, Banu and Mia

Hi Banu and Mia, I did some research: Ashoka’s vision is to create a future where everybody can be the “protagonists” of change, ultimately becoming CHANGE MAKERS.
What are change makers? They are people who act for the common good.
For over 40 years,Ashoka has worked in favour of social and environmental change, creating the conditions for innovation to generate lasting impact. It achieves this in two different ways:
-With adults they select, support and network the most visionary leaders of social innovation.
-With younger folks, they act on contextual factors to offer children and young people the opportunity to develop awareness and become protagonists of change.

First of all, I like your ideas: the creative canvas poster sounds like a good way to visually represent Ashoka’s mission, and combining it with a poem or an interactive quiz like Kahoot will make the ebook more fun. Well done on already starting with some sketches too. Here are a few more ideas we might consider including in the ebook:
– we could create fictional short interviews with changemakers (real or imagined) and ask them about their motivations and actions.
– make a collection of images that symbolize change, community action, and leadership Each photo can include a short caption that connects to Ashoka’s values.
unfortunately this version of genially does not allow cowriting Hello 🙋♂️,
we just wanted to thank you for today. Now it’s decided that we do a comic on storyboard together. Also we didn’t get to ask you during the call but do you already have an idea to what kind of situation we could make a comic of? We would also appreciate it if you help us with using storyboard as we don’t know that platform.
Kind regards,
Banu, Mia, Aaliyah
Hello again! We just checked Storyboard out. And we noticed that we can put voice recordings in to each page. And so we came up with the idea that we could make a story. Then we would do one page, and then you can do another page after and try to connect it to our page.

for the comic, since we have to use story board,i was wondering if you already had an account, and if it was sharabel? Id ask you to share it with me so it would be easier for us to work. While for the story i have this idea:-We could make a story where the change Makers are the hero’s/protagonists of the story, showing them helping around for the common good,so,not extreme labours, perhaps we could show them cleaning beaches, and helping reduce pollution, helping protesters “fight” for their rights and so on.for the different immages that will be in the comic we can either draw them,or create a collage with drawings or real life pictures to create the scenes. We could also use our own pictures to create said pictures, but thats entirely your decision and how comfortable you are with sharing your face/body-Kind regards

Hello! We’re back from our Easter Break. So, sharing a storyboard with someone (where you can edit some things too) is unfortunately not possible. We can either do it like this: work with one account, we would make a new e-mail address for this and create an account with that and share the password or we don’t work with storyboard but instead make a comic ourselves by drawing or using pictures (it could be us doing certain poses for whatever scene you need it for). And we read your idea for the story, that could be a good start indeed! We can think of a plot later maybe because we don‘t have any idea how we could continue the story 🙁 if you have any ideas, please tell us you seem to have creative ideas.
~ Kind regards Banu, Aaliyah and Mia
Hi, we just created an email account for storyboard. Please try to log in with it in storyboard. The email: Comic.ashoka@gmail.com Password: AshokaXXX You have to press on „log in with google“ when you press log in. It should work then but if it doesn‘t tell us and we can think of another solution together. We already started a few pages because we just got an idea while browsing. We had the idea to make a farmer that becomes a changemaker through hard work. We got this idea from this website: https://www.ashoka.org/en-us/story/changemaking-sustainable-agriculture Here is a summarized version of the text in there: In 2017, a farming crisis in Odisha deeply affected Rishikesh, whose family lost most of their crops. Seeing the huge losses farmers face from pests every year, he decided to act. He formed a team and developed Kishan Know, a low-cost, farmer-friendly device that uses AI to detect pests and diseases early, helping to save crops. They successfully tested it in 75 villages, and it gained recognition from government and research groups. Rishikesh now dreams of making farming technology easy to use and available to farmers everywhere, especially in rural areas.

Hello,so we tried making the start of the comic on storyboard, but we have limited resources, since a lot of features need to be purchased,so we suggest to either try a different story,or we could use another app. What do you suggest? Kind regards
Micaela and Alessio

Hello, we‘re sad to see that you couldn‘t access the account. You actually don‘t have to buy anything. Our teacher even tried to log into the account 5 minutes ago and it worked. It‘s very simple: you first go into storyboardthat.com like usual and go into log in with google. Then it should want an email adress on your screen. You put in Comic.ashoka@gmail.com and the password Ashoka.comic afterwards. It actually should work then without needing to do anything else and show our comic. For starting all over again the time is a bit tight. And it would be a shame since we already did 3 pages. And we think they turned out pretty well and fits our idea for our topic. We ask you to please try to log into our account again and maybe work on there. 🙏 We also don‘t have any premium features and didn‘t purchase anything and it’s still manageable to work with in our opinion. It doesn‘t have to be perfect or anything either so don‘t stress yourselves! Here you can see our work so far.
~Banu, Mia
Hello again, we just noticed that you can only do 3 pages max. per comic but that‘s okay. Just create a new comic in the account so we can all see everything. We can just name them by numbers so it‘s clear what comes first and what comes second. ~ Kind regards
Mia, Banu

Hello,so it seems that we still have many premium features that wont allow us to use storyboard, therefore we decided to draw our part on paper and,if we have time,we’ll copy it digitaly on a drawing software called “Ibispaintx”. We love the wayt you made your pages so far,we think it looks really good! We’ll make sure to send our finished product soon^^
-Kind regards
Micaela & Alessio

Hello! First of all we think it’s great that you came up with doing the pages on paper and scanning it or using the app ibis paint x, it’s a great program to use for drawing. But we would like to point out again that we also didn‘t use premium features for our pages, even though it’s a bit hard you can still make them in storyboard. But if it‘s too hard or you already made your pages, that‘s also fine!
~ Kind regards Banu, Mia
We do understand that you were able to use storyboard without using premium, but unfortunatley, its not the same case for us,we would have to pay a very small fee,but our Teacher would prefer that we dont spend money. We made one page, and the second one is still a work in progress
Hey guys! First of all that looks very pretty, good job on that 😀 But we also just got an idea so we wanted to share it with you:
Since you guys haven’t done that many pages yet we got the idea that we do the comic on storyboard, and you guys can do a voiceover and tell the story of the farmer in the e-book. We have access to the templates so we could upload the pages on there using the comic templates given in e-book. You can just record it on the page. How would you like that idea?
Then onto our second idea. If you absolutely want to work on the comic too, we could add comic templates on the e-book for you, and you guys can work on there!
We feel like having a few pages of the comic made digitally and a few other pages hand-drawn could look unpleasing. But tell us what you think.
~Kind regards! Banu, Mia
Hello Guys, I am pleased with how well our cooperation is going. I had the idea that I create comic pages/ poster for each success storys of Ashoka. It would bring variety and interest in our e-book. What do you think of this idea? Would you create some too? To make this happen you can go to our e-book and use the sheets, which i have added for you because we, the German Team, have access to these templates. On the first page I would present the success story with a text and on the next page i would add many pictures of the success.
Kind regards,
Aaliyah

Hi again! We think that your idea is fantastic, and we would love to do the voice over! We are a little dissapointed since we even started colouring the drawings, but your idea is much much better. How would we record the voice over? Do you have a specific app you’d recomend?
-kind regards14.5.25
Hi Aliyah,we like that idea, hower we will need to wait for our teacher to give us te credentials for the e-book,and we will decide then what to do,and how to do it
-Kind regards Miccaela & Alessio
this is what we have one so far,we will just finish the uncoloured one
Hello 🙂 Firstly your picture actually looks very good! And secondly you can do the voiceover in e-book! There‘s an option for voice recording when you click on the „+“ on a page. I just tried it out myself but if you have problems doing it, please tell me.
Kind regards, Banu
Ashoka Schools are educational institutions that collaborate with or are inspired by the principles of the Ashoka organization.Usually, Ashoka schools are schools, which are part of the Ashoka Changemaker School-Network. This Network promotes targeted Changemakers, especially empaty, creativity, teamwork and critical thinking.
The main goal of Ashoka Schools is to provide a better each other and with that a better place with the way of thinking: cooperation instead of competition. All in all, Ashoka Schools are an important part of the good ancestors which have much potential and promises a bette Future.
I have added this text to the e-book 🙂

Hello! we have done the voice over for the page you uploaded,we await for your opinion, and for the new pages.
We ask if you could create female character, since one of us is female while the other is male, thank you.
-kind regards Micaela and Alessio
Hi we just uploaded the first four comic pages for you on the e-book. We’re still working on the rest but we will upload them soon too. Please try to make a voiceover and if it doesn‘t work tell us! Kind regards Mia and Banu
Hi there! Thank you so much for the audio recordings on the e-book, we really appreciate your effort!
However, we think there may have been a small misunderstanding. We were hoping for more of a storytelling style rather than just reading the speech bubbles.
For example, something like:
“Once upon a time, there was a farmer who lived happily. But one day, he began facing problems with pests on his farm. So, he decided to gather a team and develop a program that could predict when pests or other threats might appear…”
That’s why we don’t necessarily need a female character. Let us know if you’d like any more details or guidance!
~ Kind regards Banu, Mia
19.5.25
Hello! we understand what you mean, and we will work on that immediately.
We’ll try to keep the previous recordings,so that it feels more like an audio book in a way”
-kind regards Micaela and Alessio
Okay! Thanks for understanding ☺️ We look forward to it. Kind regards Mia

Hi again! we have recorded our new lines,we hope you’ll like them, and if there is anything you want us to change or fix:))
-kind regards
Hello, we really like your new recordings. Now we’re working on the last pages of the comic so you have enough time to make the recordings for them.
~Banu
Hii, we just finished the comic. All that’s left to do is the voiceovers now! We’re looking forward to it 🙂
~ Kind regards! Banu and Mia

Hii! Thank you so much for your lovely message! We’re really glad to hear that you liked the comic, we had a great time working on it, but for it to turn out so nicely overall is also thanks to you guys ^U^.
Your voiceovers worked very well and fit the scenes nicely! We just wanted to ask if you could add another two short lines. For the first picture, maybe something like “They started working on their idea right away.” And for the last picture, a line such as “They got selected as the changemakers of the year for their efforts.”
Thanks again!
~ Kind regards, Banu, Mia

Hello again! Today we wrote a rap song about being a good ancestor and how to think long-term in a short-term world. 😎 How about you guys give it a title? And tell us what you think about it!
Deadlines buzzin’, always on the go,
Scrollin’ fast — but what do we know?
Quick wins, fast cash, live for the day,
Earth gets burned, and we look away.
Think like trees — slow and strong,
Plant it now, even if it takes long.
Grow more greens, ride bikes, breathe clean,
Do it for the kids we ain’t ever seen.
One planet, no plan B,
We live now — but leave a legacy.
Be a good ancestor, do what’s right,
Pass down hope, not just the fight.
~ Kind regards Banu, Mia and Aaliyah

Hello! Did you read our rap song yet? Tell us what you think.
~Kind regards
Hello, I found a good beat for our rap song. Give it a listen! Here‘s the link to it on youtube:
Kind regards, Banu
I tried to sing the rap song with the beat I suggested. It may not be the best but I think the beat is fitting for our lyrics.
Kind regards, Banu
